Having fun following Teesha Moore's instructions for building a fabric journal. This is my very first square well actually rectangle. I was very inspired to try after seeing Teesha's 4 part video that she posted on her blog. Thanks Teesha you made it so easy that I couldn't resist trying it. I drew on the face with a Coptic marker and then painted with watered down fluid acrylics and then some pan pastels. I did this first and then sewed it as per Teesha's instructions. This was fun and I am looking forward to making a whole journal.

Very cool! Can't wait to see this pillow put together with more to make your journal ... will look awesome!
I like seeing how you put your own creative touch on this idea by drawing & painting on the fabric. Nice!
Love this-I love the eyes-you always do the best eyes!!!
this is freaking COOL! I love to see other people's style with a little bit of something I taught them thrown in. super inspiring!
Your fabric journal looks wonderful, and what a beautiful cover. You are creating some amazing things lately, and I love the gigantic tree, your sunday morning nest, and that you won Lynne's drawing! Roxanne
I'm usually so scared of getting into fabric arts, but you make it so inspiring!
THIS IS GORGEOUS!!! Okay.. so I have to ask... do you need to set the fabric with some sort of fixative so that the pan pastels stay on the fabric?
This is really beautiful and I love Teesha Moore's work too! I haven't watched those videos but I think I will now!
Thanks for sharing.
