Iluminating

This just makes me giggle.
This is mounted on the wall in my studio and the eyes are 8 x 24" and the nose is 8 x 10"

I have been wanting to do some lettering on canvas or muslin, illuminated and Blackletter so I combined them for my initial on muslin.

Oh no! I went and looked at Teesha Moores post on the ipad and I already wanted one and now I see there is a bunch of cool apps to play with for your art. I think I'm a goner now!

patti, have been meaning to get here since yesterday! your muslin 'P'!! wow... what did you use to do it? it's wonderful! and your faces in yesterday's post... came and looked at them in the morning and ooohhhed and ahhhhed over each one. the first one *really* grabs me. i love that you experiment with different styles/ways of drawing faces... each way communicates a completely different feeling, and i love to gaze at them and contemplate that...

the poplar leaves are now almost completely out and FULLY fragrant. oh! i am in scent heaven and i think about you every time i stand near them and enhale deeply!

modigliani... i finally got a book about his art this week. it was your faces that first made me want to investigate his art. thank you...
