Moleskine journaling an anenome and the neighbours

A macro shot of a sea anemone on the lawn on a gloriously sunny day. :)

Nosy, noisy neighbours.

I got a new tripod

Part of my Lichen collection.

Very tiny Anemone. No bigger around than a dime.

The stem of a ceramic mushroom aged out doors.

A beautiful monkey from Lisette. :)

Tiny beaded amulet bag by my good friend Lizard. :)

OOh joy New beads!

Having the right tool for the job is so important if you want decent results. I got a new tripod and it is awesome. I also borrowed my partners macro lens and went crazy taking pictures on the weekend.

Moleskine Crazy!

I was reluctant to spend the money on a Moleskine journal but after getting one I have fallen in love with the portable size and the sturdy construction. These are 3 of them with newly doctored up covers. This first one is covered with light modeling paste and painted with acrylic paints. This is a graph paper journal.

Next is the storyboard journal which I covered with decorative paper and drew a goddess with wild hair.

The red one is also covered with decorative paper with circles of string that I painted with Quinacridone Crimson acrylic paint.
And in my sketch journal is the crooked man inspired by Lynne Hoppe. I used Inktense pencil crayons and acrylic paints. I love how you can fit these journals in my small purse to have anywhere you happen to be!

More work to come from inside my journals.

Playing with Dolls

Introducing The new Queen BB

Barbie isn't in Kansas anymore. She has had a makeover. LOL! I was inspired by the Barbie do-overs in the latest Art Doll magazine. Patricia Anders created some weird and wonderful characters, all from old Barbie dolls. This is my rendition.

I can't believe how fast time has gone by lately. I will try and post more regularly now that things have settled down. As always thank you for your wonderful and supportive comments. They mean so much to me. Happy Spring to all.

Bragging RIghts

Here is my front yard from the door of our house here in rural Saanich. It doesn't look too out of the ordinary until you look closer. If you were here you would hear them singing too. My husband plays guitar in a rock band and is practicing and I think that is why they stopped to visit. They really seemed to like the guitar!
Zooming in as much as I can with my lens you can clearly see them. I admit they are not great photos but hey I got proof eagles are hanging out in my back yard. Pretty cool uh?

Patti who is enjoying a gorgeous sunny warm day with her coffee on the patio. :)
