Faces on toned paper

More portrait practice, this time in pencil and white charcoal. Working in pencil on toned paper is great as the paper is the mid tone and you can add your darks and highlights too.

I am using a 4b pencil and a white charcoal pencil and a little white gel pen here and there.

I am blown away at how life like and detailed your portraits are. The second one is my favorite because of the eyes. They say eyes are the windows to our souls and in this drawing you can see the potential for a soul shining through. Also, I wish I had thick eyelashes like that.
