I had never thought of drawing and collaging mermaids till now and I am having the time of my life in this class. Its the online class Mermaid Circus brought to you by the fabulous Jane Davenport and Teesha Moore. Here is some of my pages in my journal.

This is how it looked at the start.

I don't know why but there is not much circus in this first little book. It is all inspired by the sea and mermaids. I love the circus but just went with what was driving my inspiration. My next book I want to play more with the circus theme. Certainly most of the participants have done exceptionally well at following the theme and I have seen some absolutely gorgeous work by all. 

The words are not actually on this page yet. I was just playing around in photoshop to see what I might actually want to write.

Jane is such a great teacher, I would not hesitate to take another online class with her :) 

she gave us a face lesson and I love watching her do the shading. She has a class specifically for faces and I would like to sign up for it too.

I was feeling silly at the end of the day yesterday and created Zed. 

I am just recently retired and this is just the best way to indulge in art and I am having such a great time!
